• The Homan Square Homeownership Initiative is a collaboration between the Foundation for Homan Square and IFF. They aim to construct 20 single-family homes on vacant lots within the Homan Square neighborhood.

• The primary objective of this initiative is to offer inter-generational wealth-building opportunities for Chicagoans who either reside, are employed, or worship on the West Side of Chicago.

• This homeownership initiative is a part of a larger collaborative effort to build 1,000 homes on the West Side, thereby strengthening the community and its residents.

Affordable Homeownership:

• The program offers new construction homes at prices below the market rate.

• Qualified buyers from the West Side can avail special subsidies and grants that reduce the cost of these homes.
